Inspiration :: Danish Art

My husband and I went to Copenhagen this weekend with our friends Jordan, Paul and their two adorable children. Despite the below-freezing temperatures, it was really a wonderful little trip. We explored, ate hot dogs and went to a couple of amazing museums. One of them was the Statens Museum for Kunst, which is in a beautiful building and has a great collection of Scandanavian art - plus their permanent collection is free! I snapped some photos of some of my favorite paintings with hair references, which you can see above. At the French Windows. The Artist's Wife by Laurits Andersen Ring is definitely worth taking a closer look at if you can.

Paintings: 1) Girls from the Archipelago by Carl Wilhelmson
2) At the French Windows. The Artist's Wife by Laurits Andersen Ring
3) Reclining Female Nude by Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg
4) Youth From the series: The Four Ages of Man by Ditlev Blunck
