Cut It :: Lula Bob

I spotted this beautiful haircut in an editorial inside Lula issue 15. It made Becca and I both forget about growing our hair out and want to cut it like this (for a good few minutes at least). If anybody is looking for a new short hairstyle and has these hair types then oh please cut it like this!

Some of you readers may fall under the "fine hair strands but a lot of it" category. Just to clarify, that means that when you look at an individual hair strand it is fine but you think you have thick hair because there is a lot of it. This cut is perfect for you! Espeically because sometimes when that type of hair is cut, a slight wave comes about which would be enhanced in the right way with this look.

wow, thats beautiful. Makes me almost want to cut my hair, except that I know that I love long hair and could never part with it.

Yesssss! Having fine hair and lots of it is the worst of both worlds. Can't do a thing with it! Thanks for the tip.

Would this work for my hair? If yes, you are cutting it for me in April like this. Not sure about the bangs though.

Funny, this is similar to the cut I just got, minus the bangs. Bangs don't work with my forehead. I think these are my favorite features on your blog.

oh vey! this makes me want to cut my hair again, and get bangs as well!

i have been documenting photos of my bad hair and bang days on my phone as a reminder to never get bangs again and to let my hair grow.. and this post alone makes it very hard!

thanks :)

I love this style! I have a Pinterest board that is pretty much filled with a style similar to that. I showed it to my hairdresser and he pretty much gave me the best haircut I've ever had (sans bangs, though). My hair is super weighty; each strand is thick and there's a ton of it, so by adding lots of texture and movement, I can have the short length, but without it feeling "weight-y." My hairdresser even encouraged me to put small, tight braids here and there, which I love. Sometimes I pin the braid back, tuck it behind my ear, or just leave them undone. I like how they look among the whole tousled style.

The requirement describe me to a tee, but I'm not sure I'm ready to snip my long locks. I'm a tad embarassed at how attached to them I am. however, your blog is a true inspiration to me and one of these days i'll go to a talented hair stylist and request this exact 'do. thanks for all the great ideas.

I brought this photo to the salon and finally did it! I have never had bangs or hair this short, but a month later and I love it more all the time.
