Motvation Quotes

I have been in business for around 3 years now with my buddy Dean Kirkland Vancouver WA resident like myself and one of the smartest people that I have ever met. We have had a decent bit of success so far but nothing to go crazy about. Last year we opened a second office in Vancouver, and I split my time between Washington DC and our new office. I often think about success, and how we can best achieve it. One of the keys to success, in my view, is staying motivated and inspired and I like to do this using a variety of quotes from successful people. Check them out and see if they inspire you too.

Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose ones attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose ones own way.”

Viktor E. Frankl, Man’s Search for Meaning

“Without ambition one starts nothing. Without work one finishes nothing. The prize will not be sent to you. You have to win it.”

“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

Frank Herbert, Dune

“The harder you fall, the heavier your heart; the heavier your heart, the stronger you climb; the stronger you climb, the higher your pedestal.”

Criss Jami, Killosophy

After sleeping through a hundred million centuries we have finally opened our eyes on a sumptuous planet, sparkling with color, bountiful with life. Within decades we must close our eyes again. Isnt it a noble, an enlightened way of spending our brief time in the sun, to work at understanding the universe and how we have come to wake up in it? This is how I answer when I am asked—as I am surprisingly often—why I bother to get up in the mornings.”

Richard Dawkins

“Make today worth remembering.”

Zig Ziglar

One resolution I have made, and try always to keep, is this: ‘To rise above little things.”

John Burroughs

“My past has not defined me, destroyed me, deterred me, or defeated me; it has only strengthened me.”

Steve Maraboli, Unapologetically You: Reflections on Life and the Human Experience

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?”

Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of “A Course in Miracles”
